How To Extend Your Squarespace Website Trial

Squarespace provides every new website with a free trial of just 14 short days. So inevitably I’m asked this question all the time: How do I extend the trial to continue editing the site until I’m ready to publish my new website?

Good news - there are a few ways! And I’ll share the options with you here:

1. Member benefits

If you work with a Squarespace circle member, then your site will automatically have a 6-month free trial + other discounts available. Reach out to a registered member to ask for a new site anytime!

2. Ask nicely

You can contact Squarespace support via email to ask for an extension on your trial. They typically give 7 days, but I always recommend asking for however much time you think you’ll need to publish your site - as someone I admire says: if you don’t ask, you don’t get.

3. Duplicate your site

You can duplicate your entire website with a few clicks in your Squarespace account dashboard . By duplicating, the new copy will include all of your content, site styles and tags on a new site with a fresh trial period.

BONUS: Invite a Squarespace expert to your site, then ask them to duplicate your site so that the new copy has a 6-month free trial + other discounts when you’re ready to activate a subscription!

If you need any assistance with transferring these over, you can delegate your website to-do list to me. I’m here to help!
